Gan Soreq archaeological site extends across the southern part of the Rishon Le-Ziyyon sand dunes, in an area of hamra and kurkar hills. The large-scale excavations conducted by the Israel Antiquities Authority yielded archaeological remains of a farmhouse from the Hellenistic period (Areas A–D) and a large rural settlement dating from the Iron Age IIb until the mid-2nd century, located ca. 0.5 km to the northwest of the farmhouse.
