Qiryat Ata is an Early Bronze Age settlement situated on the coastal plain, north-east of Mount Carmel. It has been excavated in numerous fieldwork campaigns – mainly by the Israel Antiquities Authority – which revealed the remains of a large EB IB village and EB II early urban fortified settlement.
