Megiddo East, located c. 400 m east of Tel Megiddo, was one of the closest hinterland settlements of this important town in the Early Bronze IB (ca. 3300–3000 BCE). The four excavation seasons conducted at Megiddo East (2010–2013) by the Jezreel Valley Regional Project, yielded Early Bronze IB as well as Late Chalcolithic finds.
