Tel Kitan is situated on the western bank of the Jordan River, ca. 14 km north of Beth Shean. The remains uncovered at the site are dated to the Chalcolithic, Early Bronze Age IB, Middle Bronze Age I–II, Late Bronze Age I, Early Islamic and Mamluk periods. A recent study focused on the finds from the IAA salvage excavations conducted by E. Eisenberg.
