The four Chalcolithic and Early Bronze Age sites – Slaughter-house Hill, Exhibition Grounds, Jabotinsky Street, and Rishpon 4 – located within the modern-day Tel Aviv, were excavated by J. Kaplan and H. Ritter-Kaplan during the second half of the 20th century. These excavations yielded a large assemblage of ground stone tools, and only a part of this collection was available for the study.
