Tel Lod is situated southwest of the Ayalon River, ca. 10 km west of the slopes of the Judean Hills. Multiple salvage excavation projects revealed an extensive archaeological record of the site, spanning from the Neolithic period to recent times. The remains come primarily from the Pottery Neolithic, Late Chalcolithic, and Early Bronze IB occupational phases, uncovered in different parts of the site.
