The site of Beisamoun lies at the feet of the Naphtali Mountains in the Hula Valley, northern Israel, situated approximately 12 km south of the city of Qiryat Shemona. The greater prehistoric site of Beisamoun stretches from the Naphtali Mountains eastward to the Golan Heights and covers an area of ca. 400 dunams. The surveys and excavations conducted since the 1950s revealed numerous finds dated mainly to the Pre-Pottery Neolithic B and C and the Late Neolithic/Early Chalcolithic Wadi Rabah culture. In 2007, the renewed excavations yielded additional finds, dated to the Early Pottery Neolithic (probably Yarmukian culture) and the Early Bronze Age.
