Yehud

In the modern town of Yehud, Israel, there is a conglomerate of sites, which may be part of one larger site. These were uncovered through several rescue excavations (A-7166, A-8013, A-8111 and others). The site feature various archaeological features including shafts filled with trash and ash that contained most of the finds and were likely reused as refuse pits The ground stone tools assemblage is characterized by basalt vessels and grinding stones.
